So you just got a new piercing.. now what do you do?
At the time of your piercing service at our studio, you will be thoroughly briefed on the correct aftercare guidelines for your fresh piercing and will take home a free pamphlet with all your jewelry information and aftercare instructions.
We also offer personal piercing support, so clients can call or text us at anytime if they are having any piercing questions or concerns. 435-262-9915
Aftercare mainly consists of daily hot water soaks which helps flush and irrigate the piercing, along with the use of a premixed Sterile Saline solution for throughout the day cleaning. For oral/lip piercings, an Alcohol-FREE mouthwash will also be used.
You will NEVER want to use rubbing alcohol, bactine, hydrogen peroxide, Dial or any other strong anti-bacterial formulated soaps or cleansers. We are in a dry climate and these will dry out and irritate your piercing, which will delay the healing process.
Also avoid using ointments, such as bacitracin and Neosporin. Oils, such as tea tree oil, melaleuca, and other essential oils. They do not allow the piercing to get the air circulation it needs, will collect dirt/debris and may contain ingredients that are not safe for long-term use.
